Abde resigns to play with Morocco to be able to do it with Spain

The Barcelona winger Ez Abde has sent a letter to the Moroccan Football Federation in which he communicates his refusal to be summoned by the selection of this country and his desire to become a Spanish international.

As EFE has learned from Catalan club sources, in the letter, Abde informs of his decision not to play the Africa Cup with Morocco, which will be held between January 9 and February 6, 2022, and thus become a footballer eligible to represent Spain in international competitions.

In this way, the Barça squad, who recently obtained Spanish nationality, officially renounces the team from his country of origin, with which he had not yet made his debut.

Ez Abde’s decision favors the interests of Barcelona, who will not finally lose at the beginning of the year to the extreme, which has become a regular in Xavi Hernández’s eleven.
