The Interterritorial Health Council has adopted a series of restrictions to prevent the transmission of the pandemic, which has gotten out of control in the last two weeks. Among the measures that will come into force on the 1st and will last throughout the month of January is that of restricting entry to the stadiums to 75% of their capacity. This would affect the capacity of San Mamés, which would remain at 39,966 spectators, but in this case it will not be the case because Athletic is not going to play any matches at its stadium in this period of time.

So says the calendar. The rojiblancos will play three league games away from home, against Osasuna (January 3), Alavés (day 9) and Rayo Vallecano (the weekend of 22 and 23), another in the Cup against Atlético Mancha Real (day 6) in the La Juventud Sports Center in this town of Jaén and the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup with Atlético on the 13th in the capital of Saudi Arabia. In case of eliminating the colchoneros, they would play the final on the 16th against the winner of the other cross between Barça and Real Madrid.

The next match in San Mamés, against Espanyol on matchday 23 of LaLiga, will be the first weekend of February, outside the restriction period.
