The Interterritorial Council proposes a reduction of capacity to 75%

The measure is to take effect on January 1 and is in effect until January 31. In the case of pavilions it is reduced to 50%

The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, has announced that the Public Health Commission, in which the autonomous communities and the Ministry are represented, has approved the new document known as the 'traffic light' against COVID-19, but not including the moment new restrictions.

The capacity limit is already known in the proposal by the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System for the football stadiums of the Spanish league and the basketball pavilions of the ACB.

Specifically, the proposal goes through a maximum of 75% in the first case. That is, the capacity of the stadiums is reduced by 25% in principle from next January 1 (includes Valencia – Espanyol next Friday 31) and will be in force until January 31. It will be then when it will be reviewed based on how the situation arising from the new Omicron variant of COVID evolves.

This means that this is the maximum capacity that the First and Second Division stadiums can present during the next month. A situation that does not mean that it may even be lower depending on what is determined by the health authorities of each Autonomous Community.

In the case of closed spaces such as the ACB pavilions, the proposal is to reduce the capacity by up to 50%. Being here also the limit but may also be below according to the situation of each Autonomous Community
