Alert at Espanyol: five players test positive

Alarm in Espanyol for COVID-19. The club has communicated this Monday afternoon, before the second training session of the week for the Blue and Whites, that they have been detected five positive cases between the squad and two others in the coaching staffTherefore, in total there are seven members of the first team who have had to stay at home after all the specific protocols were activated.

Espanyol went on vacation on Saturday the 18th and the players returned on Sunday the 26th after eight days with the family off spending the Christmas festivities. Upon returning, all players tested negative for antigens, but PCR Practiced below, these results have been obtained.

The club has pointed out that all the positives are “fine”. Several Espanyol B players have been summoned to complete training. The blue and white team plays this Friday the 31st in Valencia, so he faces a serious setback considering the five positives that have been found.
