The International Tournament of Spain 2022 prior to the European one will be deputed in Cuenca

The International Tournament of Spain 2022 (TIE) will be held from January 6 to 8 in Cuenca, an event that will allow the ‘Hispanics’ to finalize their preparation for the European Championship of Hungary and Slovakia 2022, according to the Royal Spanish Federation of Handball (RFEBM) in a statement this Monday.

The venue for the 46th edition of the TIE will be the El Sargal Pavilion. The announcement was made in the Provincial Delegation of the Social Welfare Council of the Cuenca capital, with the presence, together with the president of the RFEBM, Francisco V. Blázquez, of the vice president of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, José Luis Martínez Guijarro; the mayor of Cuenca, Darío Dolz; the general director of Sports of Castilla-La Mancha, Carlos Yuste; the Councilor for Sports of Cuenca, Charo Rodríguez; and the ambassador of the ‘Hispanics’, David Barrufet.

The president of the RFEBM, Francisco V. Blázquez, highlighted the city’s connection with handball. “I had been trying for a long time for Cuenca to receive the Spanish team.
