Leeds-Aston Villa postponed

The match between Leeds United and Aston Villa on the twentieth day of the Premier, scheduled for next Tuesday, was postponed Due to the positives in Covid 19 that affect the whole of Argentine Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds have not recovered troops since days ago it began to accumulate infections. In fact, his match this Sunday, on Boxing Day against Liverpool, had to be previously canceled.

A statement issued by the Yorkshire club pointed out that although there had been no new positive cases, most of those infected were still isolated so Marcelo Bielsa does not have enough players from the first team to face the commitment against Aston Villa.

In total fourteen Premier League games had to be postponed in December. “The Premier League board accepted Leeds’ request for postponement as they do not have a sufficient number of players available for the match,” the organization said in a statement.

The League, however, reaffirmed its intention to maintain the schedule of matches that can be played safely despite the growth of those infected by the coronavirus.
