MADRID, 25 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ‘Carrera del Pavo’ in Segovia raised this Saturday to the cyclist Hugo Sanz, who revalidated the title of this mythical test for bicycles without chain, which has been held on Christmas Day for 86 years.

The runner who dethroned veteran Julio Martín two years ago, beat his father Rafael Sanz, second classified, and Iván Gómez, who was third, thus tracing the podium of the last edition two years ago.

On the other hand, in the female category the victory belonged to Emma Alonso and as a curiosity ‘Perico’ Delgado, champion of the Tour in 1988, and much loved in her city participated again.

In addition, as is tradition in the Segovian race, the winner received a turkey as a prize, while the second and third took a duck and a poularde. The test organized by the Club Ciclista 53×13 ran with the corresponding security measures and with a great atmosphere from the descent near the Aqueduct to the Plaza de Adolfo Suárez.
