Jorge Molina, De Marcos and Darío Poveda anticipate Christmas in Granada, Bilbao and Getafe

MADRID, 19 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Granada defeated a resounding 4-1 Mallorca that could not do anything against a historic Jorge Molina who signed a hat-trick with almost 40 years, while Athletic Club pulled from the heart to come back against Betis in a San Mamés who roared again and Getafe came out of the relegation against Osasuna (1-0).

Granada gave their fans an early Christmas gift this Sunday, with a win that ended in the final minutes. The first blow came from the locals, when after a great ride by Luis Suárez he gave the ball to Jorge Molina, who defined perfectly to deceive the vermilion goalkeeper.

But, as it has been all these months, Granada suffered again and Mallorca drew a few minutes later thanks to a shot from Dani Rodríguez to the center of Jaume Costa. However, the goal that equalized the game relaxed the visitors too much, with a defensive line less and less iron. In addition, the Balearic team did not generate practically any occasion in the second half.

Thus, the second goal for Granada and Molina came after a succession of errors in two previous shots that Alcoy was in charge of solving. The sentence of the match did not come until added time, with Mallorca turned upside down to find the tie. Again Molina, completing his hat-trick, shot the visitors’ goal with a low shot from the front.

The great afternoon of the veteran forward had another guest who did not want to miss the Granada party. Antonio Puertas was in charge of closing the final 4-1, confirming the incapacity of the Mallorca defense on Sunday afternoon. This match leaves Granada four points above relegation with 19 points, while Luis García’s are 14th with 20 points.

THE ATHLETIC RENEWS IN SAN MAMÉS AGAINST THE BETIS

On the other hand, Athletic turned (3-2) a game against Betis which never lost its face, thanks to two blows from Iñaki Williams and the faith and heart to come back, while Pellegrini’s they were empty of a meeting in which they grew up without supporting the pressure of San Mamés.

Thus, Marcelino’s men forget the bad streak in which they were immersed (eight games without winning) to go back to looking at European positions. Now they are 9th with 24 points. However, Betis slows down in their fight at the top of the league, although they are still seated in third place with 33 points.

It was Athletic Club that struck first after a vertiginous run by Williams in the second minute to make it 1-0. The joy did not last long, because Juanmi, in a great moment with 11 goals, scored the equalizer four minutes later. From here the Betis grew in the game, supported by a sensational Sergio Canales.

He was able to make the second before the break, but it was not until the 49th minute that Fekir took advantage of a great pass inside the area to put the 1-2 with a great shoe. Aguirrezabala avoided the 1-3 and from there San Mamés did his magic. It had been a long time since he had been able to experience a special night because the results were not good, but Iñaki Williams did not want it to happen again and he culminated another gallop that Bartra could not continue with a strong shot to the squad that surprised Rui Silva.

The lion’s party was crowned by De Marcos, with some luck, thanks to a shot from the front, apparently without danger, who poisoned himself after hitting a defender. This victory allows the lions to reconnect with their fans, who once again experienced an afternoon of excitement with a happy ending.

THE GETAFE COMES OUT OF THE DESCENT.

Another that was visited by Santa Claus was Darío Poveda, with a header in the 93rd minute to a perfect center from Damián to give Getafe victory over Osasuna. The match was very tight at the Coliseum, although the ‘azulón’ team was better able to cancel out the virtues of the ‘rojillo’ team. The ‘Geta’, who had a point in the first eight days, is now out of relegation with these three.

A distant shot from Rubén García that tested Soria was the occasion of the first half. Osasuna pressed from the start but little by little the local team became strong in the center of the field. Without success on their occasions, those of Quique Sánchez Flores continued to row in the resumption, with good dynamics since the Madrid coach arrived despite the fact that they did not follow the results.

The debacle in the Cup did not take its toll, the Coliseum did not hold it against him, and on the horn, Poveda came in with everything to allow Getafe to see themselves even outside the burning. On the other hand, Osasuna maintains its bad dynamics, with nine days without winning although those of Jagoba Arrasate maintain a cushion even with the descent.
