Sporting cannot with an inferior Huesca

Sporting did not go beyond the 1-1 draw this Friday against Huesca in a game in which a defensive error, when the rival played with one less, cost them dearly because up to that moment it had been better and led on the scoreboard. A result that leaves David Gallego, a local coach, more outside than inside.

Sporting jumped onto the field aware of the urgency of breaking their negative dynamics and with the coach hanging by a thread. And his first minutes were of total dominance. He locked up Huesca in his plot and tried his luck with distant shots without much danger.

The first big local chance came in a long pitch by Mariño over Djurdjevic’s boarding school. The Montenegrin won the action from Ignasi Miquel, who grabbed and brought him down to earn the yellow card, but thwarted a great opportunity for the rojiblancos.

Three minutes later it was Aitor García who tried his luck, but the defense cleared for a corner. About to reach minute 20, a play from Huesca ended in a center that Mateu controlled with his chest and finished off with his back to the hands of Mariño.

Both teams tried to come out with the ball under control and send long balls as soon as they crossed the midfield line, which made it easier for the defenders to play. But in one of those actions the ball reached Fran Villalba, who finished badly when he was alone and on the edge of the small area.

As time passed, the game became more balanced and Huesca began to arrive more assiduously in the vicinity of Mariño, who, however, did not go through dangerous situations.

Before coming to rest, Puma Rodríguez enjoyed a good chance in a rowdy scene in the visiting area, but Andrés Fernández resolved with a great save what looked like a sung goal.

In the resumption, Sporting again put pressure on Huesca during the first minutes and this time their pressure did obtain the desired fruit. First it was Djurdjevic who took advantage of an indecision of the defense to steal a ball that he gave to Puma Rodríguez, he was entertained and his shot ended in a corner.

From his serve, a series of rejections were generated in the area until the ball reached Pedro Díaz, who, from outside the area, launched a powerful shot that slipped past the left post, where Andrés could not reach in his outstretched Fernandez.

Nwakali, Seoane and Mikel Rico tried to organize things for their team, but the home defense was attentive and correctly solved the visitors’ attempts, which took a step forward and went in search of a draw.

The Huesca coach made changes in search of the reaction of his team, which kept trying while Sporting, as has happened on more occasions this season, took a step back and relied on a counter to increase their advantage.

The fans repeatedly reproached the referee for not sanctioning more rigorously Pulido’s marking of Djurdjevic, who was stopped in constant fouls, but ended up leaving Huesca with one less man after Ignasi Miquel’s double yellow expulsion in the absence of 25 minutes.

But Huesca did not collapse and, with one less man, ended up achieving a tie. It was in a brilliant against Joaquín, who beat Pablo García by speed and crossed so that Seoane, alone, scored his head before the desperation of the players and the public.

Since Huesca’s goal, Sporting tried anyway, but the rojiblancos, in addition to not playing well, are having bad luck and they lost the victory again because in the final minutes Andrés Fernández saved two shots from Pedro Díaz that touched The goal.
