Jordan Bone will play in Zaragoza until the end of the season

MADRID, 9 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The American player Jordan Bone, 24 years old and 1.90 meters, will play the remainder of the season at Casademont Zaragoza to reinforce the outside game of the team trained by Jaume Ponsarnau, who is made with a point guard with NBA experience.

“The Aragonese team and the player have reached an agreement by which the American will defend the elastic red until the end of the season,” Casademont Zaragoza announced in a statement.

Jordan Bone comes from Turkish Besiktas, with whom he had played 11 games this season between the Turkish league –11.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists on average – and ‘Basketball Champions League’ – 17 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4 assists on average–.

Trained at The Ensworth School in Nashville, he was recruited by the University of Tennessee, where he began playing in the 2016-2017 campaign. After his third year in the NCAA, Bone decided to enroll in the 2019 NBA Draft, skipping his fourth year of college eligibility.

The point guard was selected 57th by the New Orleans Pelicans although he was moved to the Detroit Pistons in a trade. With the Pistons he averaged 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in the Las Vegas Summer League, reaching 10 games with the franchise in the NBA during the 2019 season.

In the 2020-2021 season, Bone wore the Orlando Magic colors in 14 NBA regular season games. From there he jumped to the Indiana Pacers to play the last NBA Summer League in Las Vegas this year, later signing with Turkish Besiktas for the 2021-2022 campaign.

“Jordan Bone is a player who can help us give a different record to our game, especially because he has the ability to take advantage of being very fast and very explosive. He can help us in two positions, 1 and 2, with the ability to generate and score, thanks to his ability to finish with his shots, especially with his shots from the boat “, highlighted Zaragoza coach Jaume Ponsarnau.

In this sense, he added that he is a good defender and that he comes out of a very good university in that regard. “His adaptation to our basketball will happen because he takes a defensive step, since he has the conditions to do so. With him we want to be a team that has more possibilities to get more advantages in the game and that helps us play better,” he said.
