The Balompédica Linense has already made its first reinforcement despite the fact that it is not yet January. The balls announced the signing of Serge Leuko, right back, and he’s already training to be ready when January 1 rolls around. The footballer was without a team after leaving Belgium’s Waasl Beveren in the summer.
The 28-year-old Cameroonian is aware of his currently poor form and has therefore been training even alone in the Municipal Stadium gym. He has shown to arrive with all the enthusiasm and professionalism necessary. Now, he will have to prove it on the field when he can finally debut.
Leuko has gone through different teams in the Spanish league. The footballer was trained in the quarry of Mallorca after leaving the Eto’o Academy. Later he was at Ciutadella, Valencia Juvenil and Mestalla, Lugo and Somozas. Eventually, he headed to Belgium to play for Wassl Beveren, where he left in the summer of this year and has been without a team ever since.
The player himself has confessed that, when the offer from the Cadiz team arrived, he was watching videos and he liked the solid gameor on which they are based, a system in which the lateral insists to feel comfortable. In addition, Manu Molina also advised him to accept the offer of the ball set. Now, Leuko will have to compete with his teammates, Óscar Arroyo and Jeremy Saygbe, to win the right back.
