The women’s team suffers with Germany the first defeat of the European chair basketball

MADRID, 6 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s wheelchair basketball team conceded the first European defeat that is being played in Madrid on Monday, losing (55-34) to Germany in the Francisco Fernández Ochoa pavilion.

After the victory of the first day against Turkey, Adrián Yáñez’s team was in tow but standing up to the Germans, at least until the break. A poor restart, failing on defense, allowed Germany to slip away.

Spain ran out of options for the fourth quarter, looking for the heroic against a rival led by Katharina Lang with 22 points. The most successful of the national team was Beatriz Zudaire with 10.
