The Spanish women’s handball team will begin its debut in the World Cup in Spain on Wednesday with a sensitive last-minute low, that of lateral Lara González, who injured her hand in training this Tuesday.

As reported by the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM), he suffered “a fracture in the fourth finger of his right hand” during the last session prior to the premiere in Torrevieja (Alicante) against Argentina, a mishap that will prevent him from participating in this event.

In addition, the national coach José Ignacio Prades has decided to reserve the central Alicia Fernández for this first match against the Argentine team.
