New Allianz Winter Paralympic Promises Team Seeks Young Talent

The Spanish Paralympic Committee and Allianz are carrying out, from Sunday 21 to Thursday 25 November, technical, physical and psychological tests to 13 young athletes with physical or visual disabilities from different parts of the Spanish geography to access the new Team Allianz of Winter Paralympic Promises.

This new Promises Team has also been created in collaboration with the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF), the Spanish Sports Federation for the Blind (FEDC) and the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Cerebral Palsy and Brain Damage Acquired (FEDPC). The tests are carried out at the Camilo José Cela University and at the Xanadú SnowZone, in Arroyomolinos (Madrid).

The objective of this team is to guarantee the quarry of winter sports such as alpine skiing and snowboarding, as a preliminary step for the incorporation of new talents to the ADOP Plan, and, therefore, to the Spanish Paralympic Team in future international competitions, especially in the 2026 Curtain Games, in Italy.

This project seeks to achieve a high level of performance in the medium and long term of the athletes that make up the team through technical training and specialization plans, attendance at national and international competitions, and the support and monitoring of the coaches.

The existence of the Promise Teams is vital to ensure the continuity and professionalization of Spanish Paralympic sport, since through them it is possible to increase the number of athletes, promote the specialization of coaches and create an autonomous network that allows the detection of new talent.

In addition, it is a very important system for those athletes who want to access the ADOP Plan, since the program consists of technical training, assessment of sports performance from scientific research, application of technology to monitor and control their evolution, concentrations and competitions. international, as well as medical policy.
