Approved and suspended by a very conservative Espanyol

Diego Lopez: The goalkeeper was confident in the shots from the middle distance of a Barcelona that created few chances. An error in a pass to David López in the first half could cost him dearly. This time a penalty did not stop Barça. He did not have too much work.

Aleix Vidal: It was not the best day for the winger. Demanded by Gavi, who opted to play on the inside, and by Jordi Alba, he had to defend the whole game, he barely stepped on the rival field and the most dangerous interned in Barcelona arrived on his side.

Sergi Gomez: Backed by David López, who in the defensive phase was embedded with the centrals, the Catalan center-back formed in La Masia defended the area well, especially against Memphis, although he suffered in the unchecks behind him, such as the Cabrera penalty.

Cabrera: The Uruguayan was the protagonist in the action of the disputed penalty to Memphis. He bet on going strong and down a limit action and touched the ball, but also the forward’s leg. The referee chose to signal a penalty. It was the only incoherent action by the central defender, who instead defended the lateral centers perfectly. He saw the yellow one at the end.

Pedrosa: The side was the best of Espanyol. He suffered more with Abde than with Iliax, but in attack it was one of the Blue and White arguments. He constantly searched for RdT, placed two dangerous centers and showed his progression this course in a complicated field.

David López: The captain reappeared in a complicated context and with a position that required a lot of concentration. He played as a center back in defense and as a midfielder in attack, which caused him to barely participate with the ball. He did not make too many notable appearances but it helped Espanyol hardly suffer any chances.

Darder: Although Espanyol had more the ball in the second than in the first half, the Majorcan stood out more at the beginning. He participated less but had more space, which allowed him to carry out vertical conduits that helped his team to get out and step onto the rival area. He searched long for Pedrosa and RdT, the clear slogan.

Yangel: From top to bottom the whole game but hardly participating. The Venezuelan helped control Gavi and Alba’s attacks on that side, as well as the internships of Nico, another roadrunner. The player barely participated with the ball and when he did he gave continuity to the game, but without decisive passes.

Puado: The forward alternated the left-handed end with the attack point, but could hardly intervene with the ball. He tried to cover the exit of Piqué and Eric and help in the intense withdrawal of the blue and white team.

Embarba: Like Puado, and attacking more than 50 meters from the goal, the winger did not have much prominence. A shy shot in the 7th minute was his baggage along with a foul in the second half that Ter Stegen cleared.

RdT: He tried by all means. The forward gave an exhibition in the first half of controls and dribbles, like an island in the middle of the ocean, alone. In the second half he launched a foul on the post and a header that also repelled the wood. Two other pitches that were diverted. He deserved the goal and was the best on the pitch.

Melamed: It gave verticality to the game, after leaving with 1-0. He stepped on the area and tried to incorporate gunpowder into Espanyol’s attack. He accompanied better than Puado or Embarba, because the context also favored him.

Morlanes: A poisoned center at the head of RdT that is almost worth 1-1, the midfielder came out with the same force as in Elche and was about to be decisive again. He tried to catch a second play but his shot went wide.

Wu Lei: Good minutes for the Chinese player, who came after scoring for the sixth time in a row with China. The player put two dangerous centers, one at the head of Dimata that was three-quarters of a goal.

In the eyes: Caused fouls, but had the clearest chance for Espanyol. A header from the small area with Ter Stegen beaten that he threw wide.

Loren: Played three minutes.
