MADRID, 3 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
LaLiga has started this Wednesday the procedure for requesting offers for the exclusive commercialization of the rights to exploit audiovisual content of LaLiga Santander in Spain, including Andorra on a non-exclusive basis, for five seasons, from 2022-23 to 2026-27.
According to the club’s employers’ association, the audiovisual content is divided into seven options, each one made up of several lots, intended for the residential public and for broadcast on pay television.
The main difference with respect to the procedure that covered the 2019-20 to 2021-22 seasons is the structure in various alternative options, each with its corresponding lots.
“The inclusion of seven options allows interested operators to choose the option or options that best suit their preferences or exploitation capabilities, without the rigidity of having a single option,” he said in a note.
After analyzing the offers received, LaLiga will award only one of the options with its respective lots. Likewise, the number of LaLiga Santander seasons offered has been extended, from three to five seasons.
In this sense, audiovisual operators who wish to make an offer may do so for a period of three, four and / or five seasons.
The increase in the number of seasons allows, according to LaLiga, that a greater number of audiovisual operators may be interested in this procedure.
The remaining audiovisual content that LaLiga has traditionally offered will be offered in one or more subsequent bid request procedures, once the present one has concluded. The deadline for submitting offers will end on December 13 at 12:00.
Interested operators will be able to send their inquiries to LaLiga until November 24 and responses will be published on the official LaLiga website on December 1. The audiovisual operators that are interested in acquiring any of the lots, within the different options, must follow the procedure described in the bid request procedure document published on the LaLiga website (https://www.laliga.com / audiovisual-rights / documents).
