MADRID, 30 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Leganés coach, Asier Garitano, was dismissed this Saturday after the defeat against Almería (1-0) a day earlier, ending his second stage in the cucumber entity, from which he leaves being the second coach with the most matches in his story.

“CD Leganés and Asier Garitano will not continue together. The Basque coach will not continue to lead the cucumber team, ending his second stage on the Butarque bench after having collected ten points in the 13 matches played (…) with the team in relegation places, “said the Blue and White club.

Garitano, who promoted Leganés to Second in 2014 and First in 2016, left the entity two years later to face new experiences in the highest category. The one from Bergara led Real Sociedad and also Alavés before returning to the city that made him famous in the world of football less than a year ago.

Last season he managed to take ‘his’ Lega to the promotion playoff but did not pass the first round and this season the team has been in trouble from the beginning. Leganés, who announced his dismissal, has not announced who will assume the position for next Tuesday’s game against Cartagena.
