Atlético is a clamor

The Athletic is a clamor. The rojiblanco team left the Ciutat de Valencia tremendously pissed off with the work of González Fuertes in the Raise-Athletic and not just because of him penalty awarded to Lodi in the final minutes of the match. A penalty that nobody understood within the Madrid team and that unleashed anger among the rojiblanca fans. An action in which the Levante player’s shot does not go on target and in which no rival understood that it was worthy of maximum penalty. No one had protested it.

But there is a fact that also brought Atlético on its head: Simeone’s team made 11 fouls and left the stadium with six yellow cards, one red (to Simeone) and two penalties against. Hermoso and Felipe saw yellow against Levante in the first three fouls committed by the rojiblanco team in the match.

The rojiblancos They also cry out for the rivals’ actions towards João Félix, stopped again and again by Levante players. The rojiblancos left the Ciutat outraged with the work of the referee. Levante made 15 fouls and only saw three yellow cards: Pepelu and the double to Rober, the second already with the game over. That second was for protesting.

The athletic outrage grows when you look at the general statistics of LaLiga. Atlético is the one with the fewest fouls in the championship: 117. And the one with the most yellow cards: 36. Something does not add up to that foul-card relationship and Atlético’s dressing room is very suspicious of it. The football players who came out to attend the media at the end of the meeting already showed their indignation in this sense.

Simeone came out at a press conference and commented that he prefers not to speak, although the fans understand that someone has to come out and show their faces and talk about what is happening in this garter start. Atlético is not fine, they have not just sentenced the games but they feel harmed by the work of the referees. Gil Manzano already embittered the afternoon for the rojiblancos at Atlético-Athletic and González Fuertes messed it up at the Ciutat.
