Spain meets its first rivals in the Women’s Euro Cup this Thursday

MADRID, 27 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s soccer team will meet its first rivals in the final phase of the Eurocup in England next year in the draw to be held from 6:00 p.m. in Manchester.

Spain will start in Pot 2 along with Sweden, Norway and Italy, rivals with whom it will not be able to be paired in the group stage of the tournament that will be played from July 6 to 31 in ten stadiums spread over nine different venues in the country: Brighton and Hove, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Sheffield, Southampton, Trafford and Wigan and Leigh.

For the draw, England will be placed as the first seed of Group A, while the Netherlands, current champions, Germany and France will be the other selections of a Pot 1 with quite complicated opponents, although, perhaps, the Dutch team is the most ‘affordable’. Denmark, the theoretically avoided rival, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria will be in third, and Iceland, Russia, Finland and Northern Ireland in fourth.
