MADRID, Jan. 17 (SportsFinding) –

The Kansas City Royals have announced this Friday from their website and social networks the death at age 84 of David Glass, who was the owner and president of the baseball franchise for 20 seasons.

Thus, the Royals have confirmed that Glass's death came “last week”, to which the current owner of the team, John Sherman, has reacted. “His voice among the other owners was well respected. He worked for and for several Major League Baseball committees to improve our sport,” said Sherman.

“His passion for baseball and his love for Kansas City were the driving force to bring field successes to this franchise,” added Sherman, who took ownership of the club in November 2019. Glass was the owner since April 2000 until that date.
