Real Madrid reached Barça in the co-leadership of the Endesa League 2021-2022 after working to maintain their undefeated condition on their visit to the Breogán River (71-79), while Lenovo Tenerife stormed the Buesa Arena in Vitoria (65 -71), in matches corresponding to the sixth day of the championship.

In the Provincial Palace of Sports in Lugo, the Galician team dreamed of transferring their great start to the season on their return to the national basketball elite against Pablo Laso’s team that had to wait for the final moments to win the duel.

Those of Paco Olmos came out very intense and disarmed the visitors, erratic in attack and who stayed at 12 points after the first ten minutes. However, Real Madrid corrected that deficit and found the right solution to not only turn the score around but also put the victory back on track.

Led by Yabuselle (11 points), the aim in the triple (6/10, three from the French power forward) and more defensive intensity, the Madridistas dominated the second quarter clearly (13-28, 33-40) and after At the half time they maintained command, supported by Rudy Fernández (3/3 in triples) to face the final quarter with an advantage (51-63).

However, the Breogán River did not collapse and, at the hands of Kalinoski, again squeezed those of Pablo Laso and got to put 70-72 and ball to tie or get ahead. He did not take advantage of it and then Sergio Llull appeared to execute with five points in a row.

For their part, the two Canarian teams, Lenovo Tenerife and Gran Canaria, were placed at the top of the rankings with a balance of 4-2 after beating Baskonia (65-71) and Coosur Real Betis (94-70 ), respectively.

The Txus Vidorreta team went ahead with a direct duel and showed that Dusko Ivanovic’s men are still struggling to start, conceding their first domestic defeat at Fernando Buesa Arenas after an even duel decided in favor of the visitors who tied up their rival in the last quarter.

Baskonia reached the final ten minutes with a good lead on the scoreboard (59-49), but fell apart in the decisive quarter where she was only able to score six points and a devastating 0/9 on triples. Tenerife did not miss it to come back and take the victory.
