Spain seeks leadership before host Hungary
BARCELONA, Jan. 15 (SportsFinding) –
The Spanish water polo team will face host Hungary on Thursday (7:00 p.m.) during the second day of the Men's European Championship, which takes place in Budapest, for a direct pulse by the Group C leader in the absence of a final day of procedure for both teams.
Spain and Hungary, which easily surpassed Malta (7-23) and Turkey (5-19) on the first day, are the big favorites to lead the group and access the quarterfinals directly, avoiding the playoffs previous.
A direct and tight pulse in which David Martín's pupils are measured to the hosts, with the audience on their side. A powerful Hungary that wants to leave behind the blow of the European event two years ago in Barcelona, eliminated in quarters, and return to a podium that stepped on the three previous appointments.
Spain, current runner-up in Europe and the World, started this Championship strong in which it seeks its personal glory. He has no homework to do, since that world runner-up gave him the ticket for the Olympic Games this summer in Tokyo, and much to gain, without pressure.
Against Malta, in his comfortable 7-23 victory, the top Spanish gunner was Alberto Munárriz, with five goals, closely followed by Roger Tahull, with four. Important men, such as Felipe Perrone, Blai Mallarach or Dani López Pinedo, in order to try to win over Hungary and almost secure the pass as first group.
