By 7-5 and 6-1, the tennis player from Alzira, 24 years old and number 95 in the ATP ranking, won.
With that result, Pedro Martínez earned the option of playing against the Chilean Cristian Garín, the eighteenth best racket in the world and that in the clay of Bastad starts as the second seeded.
Precisely, Garín is exempt from the first round due to his second-seeded status.
