Arzamendia signs for Cádiz for four seasons

Cádiz announced this Thursday the signing of Paraguayan defender Santiago Arzamendia, who will sign for the next four seasons from Cerro Porteño in his country.

Born in the Argentine province of Misiones 23 years ago, the footballer has Paraguayan nationality by paternal descent and is international with the Paraguayan team.

Arzamendia plays as a left back and after training in the lower ranks of Cerro Porteño, he moved up to the first team in 2015.

Since then, he has played one hundred and three games with those at the General Pablo Rojas stadium with more than 8,500 minutes played.

His record includes the Paraguayan Apertura championships, which he won in 2015 and 2020, and the Clausura in 2017.

Cádiz has reported that the international footballer will travel to the town of Cádiz in the coming days to join training under the command of Álvaro Cervera.

The people of Cádiz will start the League on Saturday August 14 against Levante, in which it will be the first official match at their stadium under the brand-new name of Nuevo Mirandilla.
