Atlético's kits, presented, full of historical winks

The Atlético de Madrid has put on sale this July 5 what will be new kits for the mattress team during the 21/22 season.

The complete design had already been leaked for months, as it usually happens for years in the case of each and every one of the teams in the world, but the entirety of it was confirmed only a few days ago.

The club has launched the kits in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the club's name as Atlético de Madrid since on January 1, 1947 the Athletic-Aviation Club changed his name to Athletic Club of Madrid, “A change that was accompanied by an evolution of our shield in which the representative wings of Spanish aviation disappeared”, as reported by the mattress entity in the presentation of the new shirts. .

For the first time, Atlético will have four kits, each with a special nod to a historic moment for the club. In the case of the first, as we told you a few days ago, the design breaks with the more traditional aesthetics of the team and opts for two large red stripes as a line.

The home kit is supposed to 'reinvent' that historic 1947 kit that featured a central white stripe that returns with this new design. The front of the shirt also features a huge letter 'A' created by the central red stripes, another tribute to the Atlético de Madrid.

Navy blue pants paired with blue and white striped socks complete the look. The new uniforms that the players will wear on the field, as well as the replica jerseys for the fans, are constructed from 100% recycled polyester fabric, made from recycled plastic bottles.
