The women's soccer team of USA won this Thursday by a 4-0 win over that of Mexico, in a friendly match to prepare for the next Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The match played in the Rentschler Field Hartford had as a great figure to the fore Christen Press, who achieved a double as a leading figure in the Stars and Stripes team's attack.
The United States led 1-0 in the 21st minute when Sam Mewis opened the scoring after the Stars and Stripes had already had several chances to score.
Then the 2-0 would arrive at minute 39, work of Press, partial score with both teams went to rest.
The resumption had no more interest than seeing the dominance of the United States in all facets of the game that was going to be reflected with the 3-0, which was marked by the veteran forward Tobin Heath who left everything sentenced.
But it was still necessary for Press, at minute 85, to achieve the final 4-0 and the second goal of the match on his personal account.
Both teams, next Monday, July 5, have another friendly Olympic preparation match scheduled on the same stage.
