0-1: La Rojita beats a Macedonian defense with a penalty

The Spanish Under-21 team returns from Skopje with the goal accomplished. The team led by Luis de la Fuente achieved a hard-fought victory against North Macedonia (0-1) that allows La Rojita to be the leader of his group in this qualifying phase for the European of the category.

Spain dominated the game from head to toe, but Macedonia's defensive network managed to stop De la Fuente's players for much of the match. The Spanish team did not tire of proposing a game and looking for how to sink their teeth into their defensive rival, but had to wait until the final stretch of the match to achieve it.

It was through a penalty, brilliantly transformed by Hugo Duro (83 '), with which La Rojita achieved three points that practically certify his classification by taking Israel, his first pursuer, away by eight points.

At just 17 years old, Pedri made his debut with the Spanish under-21 team. The FC Barcelona forward, with 21 at his back, jumped onto the field with 20 minutes remaining (70 ') and was positioned as a right winger.

The Spanish triumph was momentarily jeopardized after the referee signaled a non-existent penalty in favor of Macedonia three from time. Josep Martínez, RB Leipzig goalkeeper, stopped the maximum penalty and certified Spain's victory.
