Eibar beat UD Las Palmas (0-1) in Gran Canaria, thus culminating their fantastic week in the Canary Islands after having won last Wednesday in the Copa del Rey against Tenerife (1-2), which they had also won in the first league round by the same score this Saturday.
The gunsmith team is consolidated in the upper area of the table, waiting for the result obtained by Ponferradina against Amorebieta to find out if the year ends in a direct promotion position, while the yellows finish 2021 outside the promotion area after concede their second loss at home.
The Gran Canaria team did not take advantage of its best moment in the opening minutes, with a shot by Jonathan Viera to the post and another chance by Álvaro Lemos, while his rival grew in the game, despite having his double pivot cautioned.
A cross shot from Jesé that Yoel deflected and a shot from Quique that narrowly missed were the best options for both. In that last play, Álvaro Lemos was injured and Las Palmas focused for a few minutes with an unusual change from Pepe Mel, placing Curbelo on the side, which the gunsmith team took advantage of.

The controversy came in the 58th minute with a goal conceded to Stoichkov after a push to Ferigra. After four long minutes, the referee annulled it after being notified by the VAR to see the infraction. The play ignited the footballers, with several brawls.
However, Eibar, with a more collective sense, handled the situation well, while Las Palmas seemed to entrust itself to some individual solution to level the score, even with the reappeared Pejiño on the field, but fatigue took its toll on a rival who finished much more whole, defending away from his goal, to take the three points.
