The Uruguayan President, Luis Lacalle, contacted the president of Conmebol, Alejandro Dominguez, to express the interest of Uruguay to be unique venue of the Copa Libertadores from America.
Time passes, said a historical Uruguayan rapporteur. Brazil has resumed its domestic championship, but the contagions have already exceeded a million and the deaths, number in the thousands. Only a policy, which we will classify as risky with the trial as risky, not to mention it directly as against humanity and ethnic cleansing with the coronavirus, can explain that soccer is being played in the South American giant.
In the Santiago de Chile and Lima area, the situation is no better. And worse yet, there are no predictions of early improvement.
AND THEN URUGUAY APPEARS

Uruguay is ready and wants to host the Copa Libertadores in a single venue. With each passing day, without any frights in health matters in the land of Luis Suárez, and with the rest of South America, except Paraguay, suffering with its problems, utopia seems to be on the path of becoming a reality.
