In the Marqués de Samaranch pavilion, Abraham Carrión’s men had to fight to dominate the Polish team in the first quarters, where they were solid in defense and played a very physical match to counteract the Spanish combinatorial game. Spain went to rest with only three rental points.

In the third quarter, with the emergence of Asier García, Poland gave in to the Iberian team, which left the clash sentenced in the absence of the last ten minutes. Andrezj Macek, with 22 points, was the most successful player in Poland, while Jordi Ruiz, with 22, was the best in Spain.
