Barça elections are not guaranteed. The new restrictions announced by the Catalan Government and that will be implemented from January 7 to 17, they leave the appointment of January 24 on the air. At least, the Generalitat does not assure it. Inma Solé, deputy director general of coordination and emergency management of Civil Protection of the Generalitat, spoke this Tuesday on the program El Món a RAC1 and was not forceful when asked about the electoral issue in Can Barça. “It would be necessary to see if these elections can be adapted to the situation that exists. At the moment, what we have is this resolution, which is valid between January 7 and 17. It will be necessary to see what measures are taken from the 17th. It is worth seeing what evolution we have and the impact of the restrictions by then. Unfortunately we have been in an emergency for many months and it still continues. It is possible that we make this effort to adapt to our activities. We must see if there is adaptation and if not, extend it. And not only in this specific case (of the elections), but in all of them.
Various candidates, including Emili Rousaud, have been against the holding of elections on January 24, for health reasons. Barça has already announced that it will vote in ten venues: Barcelona, Lleida, Tarragona, Girona, Tortosa, Andorra, Madrid, Valencia, Seville and Palma. The municipal confinement put in place by the Generalitat could jeopardize the elections.
