Sinner, Humbert and Khachanov comply and are placed in quarters

Russian Karen Khachanov, Frenchman Ugo Humbert and Italian Jannik Sinner fulfilled their status as favorites to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament in Marseille.

Humbert, the fourth seed, ended the journey of his compatriot Jo Wilfried Tsonga, whom he beat 6-3, 6-4 and awaits a rival in the next round. He will come out of the duel between the Spanish Alejandro Davidovich and the French Arthur Rinderknech (this Thursday around 15:30).

Khachanov, third seed, beat American Mackenzie McDonald (7-6 (4) and 6-4) and will play in the quarterfinals against the Australian Matthew Ebden who beat Finn Emil Ruusuvuori 6-2 6-2 with authority.

Briton Cameron Norrie also advanced at the expense of local Constant Lestienne (6-4, 6-7 (4) and 6-3) and will play in the second round against the winner of the clash between Lucas Pouille and the second seed, Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas .

The Italian Jannik Sinner, fifth seed, did not fail either, who beat the local Hugo Gaston 6-4 and 6-1 and will play in the quarterfinals against the winner of Daniil Medvedev, the first seed, and the Belarusian Egor Gerasimov who beat the German Yannick Hanfmann 6-2 and 6-0.
