The coach of Atlético de Madrid, Diego Pablo Simeone, regretted the defeat (0-2) this Sunday against Villarreal, after improving in the second half but giving up in a “tactical” and even “boring” match after which they will continue working .
“It was a very tactical match. There were no risky situations until Correa’s play with Cunha and then Molina’s bad clearance that ended with their goal. A very tight match, we were able to tie it, it could have come before with the 0-2” he said at a press conference.
“These matches with Villarreal, whoever makes a mistake can lose it, the scenario that presents itself favors them and they took advantage of it very well,” added the local coach, after the defeat at the Metropolitano.
The Argentine coach pointed to the improvement in the second half, when they understood how to press. “When they had the ball, we shared a bit of maintaining the anxiety.
