Julen Lopetegui's Sevilla starts to sweat and recharge and this Friday he has scheduled the first double training session of the preseason marked by the physical with ball exercises in between.
The heat of Seville has made the Basque coach's pupils exercise first thing in the morning in the sports city 'José Ramón Cisneros Palacios', a session attended by the sports director of the entity, Ramón Rodríguez 'Monchi', and Vice President José María del Nido Carrasco, which will be followed by another evening.
Lopetegui's Sevilla, who are facing their third year in the Sevilla squad, started working last Wednesday without their internationals, with a dozen first-team players and with their only signing so far, Serbian goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic (Eibar).
As they are still with their national teams, the last to join will be the Argentine Marcos Acuña and Papu Gómez, qualified for the final of the Copa América; the Brazilian Diego Carlos Santos, summoned for Tokyo 2020; and the youth squad Bryan Gil, who returns from his assignment at Eibar and prepares for the Games with the Spanish Olympic team.
Lopetegui has summoned nine youngsters from the subsidiary to carry out the preseason with the first team, with the news of Iván Romero, top scorer for the subsidiary and Second B last season with 12 goals; Pedro Ortiz, captain of Sevilla Atlético; forward Luismi Cruz; and defenders José Ángel Carmona and Juanmi García.
In addition, the defenders Juanlu Sánchez and Pablo Pérez, the midfielder Antonio Zarzana and the forward Carlos Álvarez repeat last summer.
