Serrat’s emotion before the Princess of Asturias: “I can’t find a better way than such a prestigious distinction to say goodbye to a career”

“You don’t know how much joy and emotion I receive the news of the 2024 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts. I can’t find a better way than a distinction as prestigious as this to bid farewell to a long and satisfying professional career like mine.” These are the first words of Joan Manuel Serrat after being awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts 2024. It will be Leonor, as honorary president of the foundation that bears her name, who will present him with this distinction in October at the Campoamor Theater from Oviedo.
