SD Gernika adds three points after passing over Cayón (3-0)

Gernika signed an outstanding performance after beating Cayón during the match held at Urbieta this Saturday, which ended with a score of 3-0. SD Gernika arrived with the intention of reaping another victory after winning the last two matches of the competition. The most recent was against Peña Sport at home (0-2) and the other against CF Ardoi at home (2-0). On the visitors’ side, Cayón was defeated 1-4 in the last game they played against Osasuna Promesas. With this result, the Guerniqués team is fifth, while Cayón is eighteenth after the end of the match.

The game started in a positive way for the guerniqués team, which kicked off at Urbieta thanks to Gorka Marcos’ goal in the 44th minute. by Adrian Güemes shortly before the end, specifically in the 46th, concluding the first half with the result of 2-0.

In the second half, luck came for SD Gernika, who put more land in between with a goal from Eizmendi in the 81st minute, thus ending the match with a final score of 3-0.

During the 90-minute meeting, a total of six cards were shown. On the part of Gernika, the referee sanctioned Lucbert with yellow, while in the Cayon team he admonished Bolado, Turrado, Fernandez and Fernández and with red Turrado (2 yellows).

With this good display, SD Gernika has already added 19 points in the Second RFEF and remains in fifth place in the standings. For its part, Cayón remains with four points with which it reached this eleventh day.

On the following day SD Gernika will play Rayo Cantabria away from home and Cayón will play their match against Logroñés B in their fiefdom.
