Pope, West Ham's nightmare, fuels Burnley's European dream

The superb performance of Nick Pope, goalkeeper of the Burnley, gave wings to this Wednesday the dreams of going to Europe that his team still has. The stops of the English international goalkeeper were decisive for Burnley to beat West Ham at the Olympic in London (xxxx). The defeat forces the ‘hammers’ to continue fighting the relegation more than ever, from which they are 4 points away (they have 31, like Watford), but Aston Villa and Bournemouth, with 27, have one less game.

Not in vain Pope managed for the 14th time in this Premier to end the goal to zero, the most, Alisson has 13 (but this same Wednesday Brighton is measured with Liverpool) and Ederson, 13 with Manchester City by Pep Guardiola .

The Burnley was above all very effective. Jay Rodríguez made the most of a great cross from Charlie Taylor in the 38th minute to connect a header that, in the end, decided the game and gave Burnley a golden victory. At the end of the match, an offside goal was canceled for Burnley (confirmed by VAR).

Meanwhile, Pope was a nightmare for Pablo Fornals' West Ham, coached by David Moyes. The Burnley goalkeeper blocked Tomas Soucek and Michail Antonio from scoring. And, in the second part, Pope frustrated with a great intervention Sebastian Haller, who had just entered the meeting.

West Ham, who on 1 julo managed to win the derby against Chelsea (3-2) and then on day 5 tied at Newcastle's home (2-2), suffered a hard blow despite Michail Antonio, as always carrying danger , and the rest of the 'hammers' fought until the end to turn a game that the effectiveness of Burnley and the inspiration of Pope put in the end impossible.
