Osaka Gets The Title Of World’s Highest-Earning Female Athlete!!

As per the Forbes’ reports, Naomi Osaka of Japan did surpass Serena Williams by achieving the title of the World’s Highest-Earning Female Athlete. She happens to be raking in $37.4 million of prize money with endorsements throughout the last year.

The 22-year-old athlete was successful enough to achieve a great accomplishment over the last year. Naomi Osaka who happens to be twice Grand Slam champion did earn more than any other female athlete during the last 12 month period.

Naomi Osaka: Highest-Earning Female Athlete In The World

Currently, Naomi Osaka crosses over the American tennis player Serena Williams who was in the top position for the last four years. Yes, it is amazing and exciting to know that Naomi Osaka did earn $1.4 million more than Serena Williams. So Osaka was successful enough to secure the top position in the list of the highest-earning female athletes.

Before Serena Williams holds the record of the highest-earning female athlete for four years, Maria Sharapova was the one to hold it. Maria Sharapova holds the record for having $29.7 million for a female athlete in 2015.

It was remarkable for female tennis players to be on the top of the list for Forbes’ Women’s List. Since 1990, Forbes’ list of highest-earning female athletes has the top name of tennis athletes. But mostly, it was a Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova or American tennis star Serena Williams since 2004.

Naomi Osaka was the one in the limelight when she beats Serena Williams in the U.S. Open finals. That was surely a controversial match to watch as Serena Williams did receive three code violations from the umpire.

Later on, the Japanese tennis player wins the next Grand Slam at the 2019 Australian Open. Although Osaka fall from number one to number ten on the WTA rankings, she manages to progress remarkably.

As of today, Naomi Osaka has 15 sponsorship deals which include global brands like Nissan Motors, Nike, Shiseido, and Yonex. She keeps on focusing in her successful tennis career while living a happy and healthy life.
