Marc Márquez: “Another difficult race awaits us in Qatar”

MADRID, 12 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda), who finished thirteenth this Sunday in the MotoGP race of the Malaysian Grand Prix, has assured that he has experienced “a complicated weekend” and that he expects “another difficult race in Qatar” next week.

“It has been a difficult Sunday, to end a complicated weekend; really everything came from qualifying on Saturday. Starting from twentieth place, it is always difficult and my feelings with the bike have been similar to those of the sprint race. Yesterday I pushed and fell; today I managed everything and I was able to at least score some points,” he said in statements provided by his team.

The man from Cervera, who will say goodbye to Repsol Honda after the last two Grands Prix of the year, is aware that he will not have easy races from here to the end. “Another difficult race awaits us in Qatar, where we can try to improve our situation and our results. Let’s move forward and prepare for the next one,” he said.

For his part, his teammate Joan Mir could not finish the race in Sepang after suffering a fall. “The summary of our weekend is that I keep working, I keep pushing and I don’t give up, that’s why I fell. Today I was able to be close to Marc and fight a little with him, but the pressure with the front tire was very high “he stressed.

“We won in braking, but in hot conditions like those in Malaysia, you have to manage everything. It’s nice to fight with Marc, in another year we would have been fighting for the podium! We will try again in a week,” he concluded.
