The tournament is played in the Caja Mágicaa multipurpose venue located in the Madrid neighborhood of San Fermín, on the banks of the Manzanares, which has been hosting this competition since 2009 after also hosting Real Madrid basketball games and being one of the cornerstones of the Madrid Olympic project for the 2012 and 2016 nominations. Below we break down the different possibilities to reach the complex:
The closest station is San Fermín-Orcasur, belonging to line 3, which connects with 6 in Legazpi, with 5 in Callao and Embajadores, with 1 and 2 in Sol, 10 in Plaza España and 4 in Arguelles. Another relatively close station, also belonging to line 3, is Hospital 12 de Octubre.
The following EMT urban bus lines connect different points in Madrid with the Caja Mágica: 6, 8, 18, 19, 22*, 45, 47, 59, 62, 76, 78, 79, 85, 86, 123, 148, 156*, 247* and T32. Those marked with an asterisk do not provide service on Sundays. There will also be a special service as in last year’s edition: a shuttle line, the 180, which will connect Plaza de Legazpi (Metro Legazpi) with the Caja Mágica.
The nearest Cercanías stops are Doce de Octubre, Orcasitas and Villaverde Bajo. The first two belong to line C-5 and the third has connections with C-3 and C-.4.
If the means of transport used is your own car, these are the accesses to the Caja Mágica: if you are driving on the M-30, the exit to take is Calle Embajadores; in case of doing it by the M-40 in any of its directions, you must follow the indications for the Parque del Manzanares and join the Calle de Embajadores.
