LaLiga announces LaLiga FC Pro, the new EA Sports FC 24 gaming competition

MADRID, 3 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

LaLiga announced this Friday LaLiga FC Pro, the new competitive gaming season of EA Sports FC 24, with a new format to offer “a top-level esports experience”, in addition to having the objective of “drastically improving the opportunities and visibility of the clubs,” according to a statement.

EA Sports FC 24 professional players will compete in the new FC Pro ecosystem, with “a new format and the largest prize pool in its history”, among the main novelties of the new season. All of this, within the transformation process of LaLiga, thanks to the “continuous effort to raise the profile and professionalization of the competition”, and with “the positioning of the competition as one of the largest and most important events” as a goal.

In the words of LaLiga’s Digital Strategy Director, Alfredo Bermejo, the employers “look forward to the substantial improvements in the EA Sports FC Pro ecosystem”, which will “drastically improve the opportunities and visibility of the clubs”. “It is essential to adapt and anticipate the requests of our followers, and this season we will go one step further with changes in the national and also international competition,” he advanced.

FC Pro Commissioner Sam Turkbas explained that both entities are focused on “offering a top-level esports experience” to fans and players. “With a new format, the direct qualification of the best clubs to the first FC Pro World Championship and the long-awaited return of the LaLiga FC Pro SuperCup, this season will be the most exciting to date,” he predicted.

And LaLiga FC Pro will offer new features throughout its seventh season of ‘competitive gaming’. The Regular Season will be played over two weekends between February and March, during which the participating clubs will be divided into eight groups competing for access to the Cup and the Final, with matches in a one-on-one format.

After passing through Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza or PortAventura World in Tarragona, the in-person stops with the public will touch on new cities. In addition, this season the competition will have the largest prize in its history, exceeding 350,000 euros.

Before this regular phase, Real Betis and RC Celta, last season’s champion and runner-up, along with Atlético de Madrid and Real Valladolid, Cup and SuperCup champions respectively, will compete for the title of LaLiga FC Pro champion club SuperCup on November 11. It will be a one-on-one tournament, playing 9 minutes per part, with direct elimination.

The semifinals will be played in the best of one match, while the final will be played in the best of two, in an event that will take place within the framework of the UBeat Festival in Barcelona, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
