Koeman: “There is still League”

Ronald Koeman He left San Mamés with the feeling that his team offers more green shoots every day and that very soon he will pick up cruising speed to still aspire to everything.

With what feelings do you leave San Mamés?

Very happy. Despite being 1-0, we have always been very involved in the game. In the first goal we were caught disorganized, but after the goal against, we had a great game. Leo has had bad luck because he could see some more done, with two balls to the post. I have had the feeling of control of the game at all times and with hardly any ups and downs in the game.

Did the team need such a game?

It was a great game. There are things to improve, like the first goal in the defensive organization. But we have scored very great goals, of great quality.

The Pedri thing is already spectacular, right?

It is important to have good players in the midfield because that is where the game is dominated. With Frenkie, Busi, Leo and Pedri we always had one more to make a difference. Pedri's level is not a surprise for me, now superior to the others.

And Messi?

From the first day he has given his maximum. It has been at the highest level for many years. Now it seems that it has also improved in effectiveness.

Is there a league?

There is always a league because the season is very long. There may be injuries, ups and downs and a team that is doing very well ends up costing you. There is a lot of competition in this league. The big teams also have a very tight schedule. It is very difficult to hold the level throughout the season.

Are we facing a turning point?

We have been working well and seriously for a long time. We have deserved more points in other games. It is clear that victories increase our confidence.

What does Dembélé bring you?

Dembélé is physically fine. But he has to learn to play two or three games in a row. It gives us a lot for its speed and depth.

Optimistic?

The team is growing and with increasing confidence.
