José Manuel Aira is left without Herrero, positive for COVID-19

The coach of Marbella Fútbol Club, José Manuel Aira, appeared before the media at the press conference prior to the first match of the Marbella team at the Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas stadium against C.D. Marino (Sunday, 12:00) corresponding to the second day of subgroup A of Group IV of Second Division B. Minutes before the press conference the club confirmed the positive in COVID-19 of goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero and the news that Óscar García gave a positive result in the antigen test and, therefore, is waiting for the result of a PCR test in the next few hours. Regarding the news, the coach said that “it is something normal. We have adapted to this situation and we will act according to the established protocols ”. Aira also added that “we are waiting for the results of Oscar's PCR to see if we will have him for Sunday.”

Regarding the first home game against Marino, Aira declared that “we are very excited to compete at home and give our fans the match they deserve.” In addition, he explained that, in reference to the last match played in Algeciras, “our attack was correct. We just need to be more aggressive and multiply our scoring opportunities so that goals can be reached ”.

Looking ahead to the game against C.D. Marino, the Marbella coach pronounced himself saying that “we want to fight so that the ball is in his field for longer than ours.” The technician also announced the total recovery of captain Javi Añón.

Before the loss of Alfonso Herrero, Aira remained confident: “I have full confidence in all my goalkeepers.” And he also qualified his empathy towards the injured Baba Cissé, justifying that “he is a very young player and we want him to evolve with us. It's a shame that he is missing this season due to injury ”.

Finally, he recalled that “Baba cannot be replaced because the regulations have changed and we will not be able to sign in to cover his withdrawal.
