El Rayo earns more than one million euros for Amat this market

Rayo Vallecano has closed the market with a positive economic balance, after KAS Eupen has exercised the compulsory purchase option that it had for Jordi Amat. The franjirrojo club has received just over a million euros for the central, who left on loan to the Belgian team – led by the Spanish Beñat San José – in the summer of 2019.

That money has been the only income as such of the entity, which has opted for an austere transfer policy. Three of his four reinforcements have been transfers (Fran García from Real Madrid Castilla, Antoñín from Granada and Iván Martos from Almería) and the other remaining, a free player (Luca Zidane had ended his contract with Madrid).
