With the Eurocup and the imminent Copa América as great monopolists of the footballing focus, some competitions are still being played in parallel, such as the playoff for promotion to First Division. Also the Youth Champions Cup, which, with a different format due to the pandemic, decides in the next 15 days the champion of champions of the Youth Division of Honor. And it begins, nothing less, than with a Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atlético in the sports city of Valdebebas, this Sunday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m.
The difficulties that the pandemic has had in the development of non-professional competitions have led the RFEF to slightly modify the format of the final phase of the Junior Division of Honor (It should be noted that the Copa del Rey has had to be suspended). This year the first round, of the quarterfinals, is played roundtrip and it will be from the semifinals when the four surviving teams meet in a venue to decide in the semifinals and final to a single match who is the champion of the tournament.
It is disputed by eight teams: Deportivo de La Coruña, Athletic Club, Barcelona, Malaga, Atlético de Madrid, Real Madrid, Las Palmas and Levante.
