Brock Purdy had “a few too many” missed throws against the Packers, according to Kyle Shanahan.

On Saturday night, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy hit less than 60% of his passes. He passed a potential pick-six to Packer safety Darnell Savage in the first quarter; however, Savage failed to intercept the ball. Purdy made only 6.46 yards per try on average.

On Monday, mentor Kyle Shanahan was questioned regarding the potential impact of the wet conditions on Purdy’s imprecision. During his lengthy response, Shanahan uttered several crucial words.

“I believe it helped a small amount, if not a couple,” Shanahan responded to reporters. “Even merely observing Love.”

As you observe the initial action of the game, which occurred on the swinging route, the ball slips and he throws it in front of the individual. He was acquired by a couple.

Thus, there are undeniably a few that Brock missed while attempting to throw one around a person to prevent tipping, as well as a few that occur for reasons that are beyond description.

A couple are typically present in the game; however, weather and a few more errors on the throw contribute to the addition of a couple more. He possessed far too many about them. He also threw some truly monstrous passes.

It was unfathomable how some of those passes were able to reach [receiver] Jauan Jennings via that middle linebacker.

On third down, they passed a low, away ball to receiver Brandon Aiyuk despite having fairly tight coverage on the pass. It was an extraordinary catch and throw that kept us in the game following the touchdown.

Also, he engaged in a multitude of virtuous actions. Though he was far from perfect, it was truly remarkable that he performed admirably when we required his utmost effort. It therefore ultimately provided us with the greatest opportunity to prevail.

As a result, Purdy is unavoidably under greater pressure this weekend, because the 49ers prepare to take on the Lions in pursuit of a Super Bowl berth.

Considering Purdy’s assertion that the 49ers attempted to acquire Tom Brady over 2023, the inquiry is warranted.

QB Brock Purdy’s late-game heroics propelled the San Francisco 49ers to a thrilling 24-21 turnaround victory over the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Playoff on Saturday night at Levi’s Stadium.

“As it was falling, it began to sprinkle, at which point I removed it. As a result, I continued to contemplate my options and grew increasingly impatient with the glove, so I continued to throw as I normally would.

“Certainly, there were occasions when I was retreating, the ball was slightly damp from the grass, which certainly had an impact on my accuracy and other such factors. However, that is football, so I must improve in that regard.”

On Monday, coach Kyle Shanahan addressed the media via conference call regarding the potential impact of the rain on the performance of his quarterback.

Although Purdy’s clutch ability was on display during his game-winning 12-play, 69-yard drive, the second-year quarterback had struggled in the lead-up to that moment.

“I believe it did somewhat,” Shanahan conceded. “Even merely observing [Packers quarterback Jordan] Love is enjoyable.”

Upon observing his initial action of the game, which involved a swing route with the ball slipping and being thrown in front of him, I noticed that he was intercepted on two occasions.

Thus, Brock has certainly caught a few, a few of which he likely missed while attempting to throw one around a person to prevent tipping and a few whom he is unable to explain.

“That occurs naturally.” Typically, you have a few in the game; however, he had an excessive number of them due to weather-related issues and a few more that occurred simply by not being precise with the throw.

He also executed some truly monstrous throws, however. It was unfathomable how some of those passes were thrown past that middle linebacker to reach [WR] Jauan [Jennings].
