Arrested a rugby player accused of abusing two women in Hernani

A player of the rugby club of Hernani, who plays in Honor Division, has been arrested on charges of two alleged crimes of sexual abuse about two women early Sunday morning in a bar in this town, the Basque Department of Security has confirmed.

After the incident, the man left the bar and went to another Hernani establishment where he was located and identified by agents of the Municipal Police.

The next day the player was requested by the Ertzaintza to go to the police station, where he was arrested and, after giving a statement, he was released pending the appearance of the corresponding judicial authority.

After learning what happened, the Hernani Club Rugby Elkartea held an extraordinary meeting of its board of directors, of an urgent nature, in which, as reported this Wednesday by the entity by means of a note, it decided cautiously set aside “for upcoming sporting events“the athlete, whom he identifies as Loketi Manu.

“In this way, the player will not be able to go to Landare (name of the playing field) or use the club's facilities,” the statement concluded.

Sources of the Hernani Club Rugby Elkartea have revealed that the player has also been required so that, within a week, leave the apartment rented by the entity where you reside alongside other players and try to “clarify” your situation.
