Spanish footballer Iván Villar, goalkeeper for RC Celta since he joined the junior team in 2007, has renewed his contract with the Vigo club until June 2027, which will add 20 seasons as a celestial player.
This was confirmed this Thursday by Celta itself on its website, specifying that Villar had sealed the renewal of his contract at A Sede on Wednesday together with the club's president, Marián Mouriño, and with the Director of Football, Marco Garcés. .
“This season, the Aldán goalkeeper has played 12 games, with more than 1,000 minutes played, while last season he played a total of 21 games. Villar made his debut in the celestial reserve team at the age of 16 and did so with the first team in 2017. in Mendizorroza,” the press release recalled.
“It's my home, I've been here since I was nine years old. It fills me with pride to have gone through all the Celta categories and managed to wear the first team shirt,” Villar declared to Celta's official media.
