MADRID, 18 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Rebeka Masarova advanced this Wednesday to the quarterfinals in the WTA tournament in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), while the also Spanish Sara Sorribes was left out in the round of 16 of the Nanchang tournament (China).

Masarova signed her second victory this week in the Romanian event with a great comeback against local Miriam Bulgaru 3-6, 7-6(8), 6-0. The Spaniard had a real battle, full of exchanges in the first two sets and a Numantine resistance from her rival trying to go on the fast track.

In the eighth round Masarova forced the third round, where she did not find opposition in a donut that made her advance with authority. Meanwhile, Sorribes, who had just made the quarterfinals in Hong Kong, met the Colombian Camila Osorio, in a 6-4, 7-5 of more than two hours where the Spanish was in command in both sets without leading to the final triumph.
