Odlo uses lighter merino wool for its summer collection

The sports equipment brand Odlo presents a lighter merino wool, led by the X-Alp PW 115 trail running shirt awarded at the ISPO fair in Munich (Germany), in its summer collection, designed for athletes who opt for for natural fibers on their outdoor adventures.

Following the FW22 launch of Performance Wool, a new line of performance-specific merino-blend first layers powered by Nuyarn, Odlo is launching a new Performance Wool garment collection for summer.

Lightweight wool blends, designed to surpass 100% wool, in comfort and functionality, so that the athlete can perform at their best, such as the X-Alp PW 115, which is the result of the brand’s best performance engineering. Until now.

Nuyarn is a revolutionary twist-free spinning technology that amplifies the natural performance properties of merino, producing yarn for ultra-light, high-performance stretch fabrics.

Compared to traditional merino, Nuyarn fabric outperforms its competitors in that it dries 5 times faster, has 50 percent greater tear strength, 85 percent more elasticity, and is 35 percent more flexible. In addition, it is sustainable, since it uses 30 percent less raw materials and is 8.8 times more durable.

It also presents Ascent PW 130, a collection of printed t-shirts for the whole year, suitable for versatile use thanks to the Performance Wool blend -50 percent merino wool and 50 percent Tencel- that provides natural anti-odour and natural thermoregulation with moisture management.
